Outstanding Customer Service and Care for the Customer Wins Business
Having excellent products and services are the cost-of-entry. It's outstanding customer service and care for the how to provide the customer with the best possible outcome that wins and retains business.
Yesterday, we decided we were in need of hiring a professional lawn pest control company and today, I was going to do my research, find one with good ratings and reviews, and hire them.
This morning, coincidentally, this morning, I was outside and happen to see a 'Bugout' truck in front of my neighbor's house so I walked down and spoke with the young man who had just completed the treatment on my neighbor's lawn. I informed him I was just about to look for a lawn service online but asked him to tell me about Bugout.
With that, Michael Heaton extended his hand, introduced himself. I shared some brief information with him about our needs and he offered to walk over and look at our yard to see, first-hand, what we had going on. After looking over the lawn, we had a high-level conversation about what he saw. I could clearly tell he was knowledgeable about lawn care and how to treat our issues which impressed me so I asked him about the process of hiring Bugout. Michael informed me he was a Technician and needed to contact his Supervisor or the Sales Representative in my area and have them schedule an appointment with me. I thanked him and we both went on our way. However, the story with Michael doesn't stop there so please continue reading because Michael Heaton, a Technician for Bugout, not a Sales Representative won our business.
Within 10 minutes of Michael and me parting ways, I received a message from Michael, informing me that he had contacted his Supervisor and the Sales Representative and let me know the Sales Representative would be calling me within the hour. His message continued with him saying that since he was in the area today and tomorrow, he would most likely be able to fit us into the schedule for our first treatment.
Ty Strong, the Sales Representative for Bugout who covers our area called me within the hour and came to meet with me an hour later. Ty pulled up to the front of my house in a clean, white, Bugout sedan, stepped out of his company car wearing his Bugout shirt, and introduced himself. After a brief conversation about our needs, with no sales pressure, he proceeded to explain what his company would do for us then thoroughly explained each section of their service contract to me. I signed it and they were hired.
At 1:00 this afternoon, Michael Heaton returned and treated our yard.
Again, outstanding customer service and care for the how to provide the me, the customer with the best possible outcome won the business for Bugout and I should add that other companies should take note of this story because Michael Heaton is a Technician with the company, not a Sales Representative. His knowledge of the business, the company, their processes, and procedures is what won the business. Other companies only train their Sales Representatives. Clearly, Bugout trains their entire team.

I've been a customer for over 20 years. Recently we had a termite issue that led to the house being tented. We were nervous about the prep work we had to do in advance but Matt Q was always available to answer our questions. When something he told us not to do become required he even showed up at 7 am to fix it himself instead of dropping it on us at the last minute. Very appreciated! We'd been warned by several people there would be a lot of dead bugs of all kinds when we returned to the house. However, Jason, our regular technician, does such a good job on our quarterly service in keeping out pests we only saw two dead flies in the whole house, not the horror show we were expecting! Jason always checks in and is very responsive if we need any additional services.

Have had Bug Out since they bought our previous service. This is my 1st review as Bree just provides outstanding service. She knows what’s she’s doing, communicates well and has a positive attitude. Bree is also excited about her job, how rare. She even gave us some information about birds before she left. She’s awesome!
